El Caballo de España  and Maddison-Greenwell Equestrian were founded in 1988 by Peter Maddison-Greenwell and Danielle Lawniczak.

Initially, this was to train their own and clients horses as well as to promote the Spanish Horse. This was done through El Caballo de España,  the first display team of its kind in this country.

Since then many riders with an interest in dressage and classical riding have sort education and dressage training, for both themselves and their horses, through thee many Clinics, Lectures and Lecture Demonstrations.

El Caballo de España has become world renowned for beautiful and unique performances of Spanish and Portuguese horses, demonstrating stunning, artistic and very ‘classical’ horsemanship.

El Caballo de España has been acknowledged as one of the most important influences in the recognition of the Spanish Horse in the UK to date.

El Caballo de España has now become the brand name for a growing range of quality saddlery, designed by Peter Maddison-Greenwell.

We are associated with St.Piran’s Stud in a number of projects including an importing, breeding and training program for the PRE and The Spanish Sport Horse.

Club Caballo Forum is another such projects. It has been initially set up as a ‘Dressage Forum’ with the inference on education and welfare for all horse owners with an interest in dressage. It is hoped that in the future Club Caballo will become a ‘dressage club’ with many and varied events.

The First Equestrian Theatre was created in 1996 to widen the impression and appeal in a very classical and cultural arena. Utilising the horses and riders of El Caballo de España and a professional team of dancers, musicians and other performers it has since produced show’s featuring, period, cultural and imaginative themes that have fascinated and entertained its’ many audiences.

Shiatsu for Horse and Rider is run by partner and director Danielle Lawniczak. This arm of the business was started some years ago for the welfare and benefit of the teams horses and riders. It has now become a vital and valid business in its own right, treating individuals both human and equine.
